• A calendar is generated and can be individually managed for each resource that you define in your account
• Each account supports an unlimited number of resources .
• A resource is anything you imagine that can be reserved  (e.g in our demos a resource can be a chalet room with many places for which your customers can make shared reservations for a various number of places and a various number of days,  can be ten rooms single bed, can be a flying charter or any other kind of charter that can be reserved for half-day in the morning, half-day afternoon, full day or for many days, etc.).
• The resources can be hierachycally created that means you can create a resource, customize its calendar and then clone the resource into a new resource that can be further independently customized. 
• For each resource you can define a set of possible reservation types . In the case of a chalet room for example the reservation types set could consist in Half Day Reservation, 1 Day Reservation, 2 Days Reservation, 1 Week Reservation, 1 Month Reservation. For a flying charter the reservation types set can be Morning Reservation, Afternoon Reservation, Full Day Reservation, 2 Days Reservation.
• You can define the reservation types compatibility. Two reservation types are compatible if they can happen in the same day. For example a morning reservation type is compatible with afternoon reservation type but a full day reservation is not compatible with morning reservation therefore if someone reserved the resource for morning someone else cannot reserve the resource for full day but an afternoon reservation is possible. The flying charter example defines only morning and afternoon reservations but you can devide the day in finer grained intervals.
• Reservations types can be exclusive or shared. In our charter reservations demo for example, a charter can be reserved exclusively by a customer or can be shared between many customers at the same time.
• You can relax the incompabtibility between the shared reservation types and allow the overlapping incompatible shared reservations to compete for the same resource shares. In the rooms reservations demo all the reservation types (1 Day, 2 Days, 3 Days, 4 Days, 1 Week) are set as incompatible in the compatibility matrix which is natural because if someone exclusively reserved the 10 places room for 2 Days someone else cannot exclusively reserve it for 3 Days but if someone reserved only 5 places from the room for 2 Days someone else can reserve the rest of places for 3 Days and in this case the 2 Days and 3 Days reservation types are compatible.

 Using this feature your customers will be able to make reservations and pay for them from anywhere around the world, thus increasing your direct sales and decreasing your business administration costs. The ARMS Framework provides a large flexibility int this area too. There are two major versions of ARMS Framework : ARMS Professional and ARMS Basic.   With ARMS Professional you can accept online reservations and online payments. With ARMS Basic you cannot accept online reservations at all, you can create only resources availability calendars.

• When creating online reservations, you have the option to ask your customers to make an online payment or let them create the reservation and bill them later by directly sending them an invoice for example.
•  In order to enable online payments into your account you'll need a valid Paypal account and make some simple settings for this account. For more details please go to the corresponding tutorial section.
• You can create reservations from the administration area. In this case the online payment is not required even if it is enabled for the resource. This feature is usefull if you want for example to reserve a room from the hotel reception desk. In this case it is necessary to enter the reservation in the system to maintain the consitency but you can accept cash from the customer.

With ARMS calendars you'll not have to read anymore registration forms sent via email by your customers, check your scheduling and them send your customers the accept or deny of the desired reservation. Your customers will simply see the available days and reservation types for a day and instantly make the reservation if possible. If a reservation is not possible for a certain day, the customer can check another day immediately without waiting an answer from you. ARMS calendars are designed to ensure the consistency of reservations so that you'll never get overlapping reservations or some other unpleasant  situations.

Even if you don't intend to accept online reservations, you can still find ARMS a useful tool in managing your reservations. You can create the reservations directly from administration area instead of letting your customers make the reservation.

With ARMS, the life cycle of a reservation does not end after it's been created. You can go anytime in the reports page from your calendars administration area and change the reservation details for any pending reservation. You can change the reservation date, reservation type, customer details, etc.

It's a metter of minutes to integrate the ARMS Calendars into your existing web site. In the administration area you can find HTML links to all the calendar pages and resources page an you can simply put those links into your website to point to your calendars.
